Surprise Matters

Marshalls is recognized for its ever-changing inventory, offering fresh surprises for shoppers at every turn. While advantageous for bargain hunters, this variety can also be overwhelming. Customers seek reassurance that investing time and effort in Marshalls' extensive selection is worthwhile.

To address this, we created a video tapping into a fundamental human desire: the craving for positive surprises. Using YouTube view counts, we demonstrated how people naturally gravitate towards videos with unexpected moments. "Feel-good" videos, in particular, tend to attract the most views.

The video was specifically crafted for the pitch and emerged as the winning choice.

My role: My concept prevailed in the final round, surpassing submissions from over 15 teams and securing the pitch win.
